Strategy for Kalshi's 15-minute ETH: the prior exam

Data: official Kalshi settlements

ETH 15m · Strategy

You search "Kalshi ETH 15 min strategy" hoping for the recipe. The useful answer is not a recipe: it is the exam that every strategy — yours, a course's, or a bot's — must pass in these markets before deserving a dollar. Most fail at the first question.

Question 1: does it beat a price that is already right?

Public analyses of thousands of windows show each price band is right in the long run within ~1 point of what it advertises: a 70¢ contract wins ≈70% of the time. Your strategy does not compete against chance: it competes against that calibration. If your idea is "buy when it looks like it's rising", the price already looks like it too, and charges for it.

Question 2: does it survive the fees?

Near 50¢, getting in and out costs ≈3.5¢ per contract before the spread; your gross edge must be larger than that just to start at zero. At favorite prices the fee drops, but the asymmetry rises: at 90¢, one miss erases nine hits. A strategy presented without real costs in its backtest has not been tested: it has been drawn. (The full numbers are in the fees guide.)

Question 3: does it survive real execution?

Between your signal forming and your order landing, the price moves — professional programs reprice in seconds. The 90-bot experiment said it bluntly: backtests "break at the fill", because they assume you buy at the price you saw. Every serious strategy is validated on paper, live, before on a historical chart.

What is in your hands

You do not need the perfect strategy: you need to not run a bad one. Small fixed size, costs counted weekly, a daily stop, a complete record, and a season on paper or in the DEMO before real money. And avoid the measured traps in our series Strategies that lose money. About ours, we will be clear: this platform's engine applies private criteria that we do not publish; what we do publish — and the only thing that should matter to you about any strategy — is its complete, auditable record.
