Data: official Kalshi settlements
Asset · BTC 15mEverything about the Bitcoin (BTC) market in 15-minute windows: what question it poses, how it officially settles on Kalshi and on Polymarket, how much it costs to trade it and how this platform follows it window by window.
We take you straight to what you need, with no detours: the current signal, practicing without money, checking its track record or learning how to read it.
The signals and the DEMO live in the app: sign in with your email or with Google in under a minute. Free, with no deposits and no payments to unlock anything.
Every 15 minutes a window opens asking whether the price of Bitcoin will close above the target level set at the open. You buy UP or DOWN at the current price — which is the probability the market assigns, in % — and at the close the correct side pays $1 per contract and the other, $0. There are 96 windows a day, every day.
Bitcoin is the benchmark asset for the whole market and the most liquid one also in 15-minute windows: deeper order books, tighter spreads and more contained percentage moves than the rest. That does not make it predictable: it makes it the market where the collective price is hardest to beat, because it is where the most eyes — and the most programs — are watching.
Kalshi and Polymarket (U.S. and global versions) offer BTC in 15 minutes; it is the asset with the most active order book on both. Watch out for the difference that costs beginners the most money: the same «BTC 15 minutes» market does not settle the same everywhere. On Kalshi, the asset's CF Benchmarks index rules, averaged over 60 seconds on both sides of the window; on Polymarket's global platform, the Chainlink feed rules. A window can close UP under one source and DOWN under another in very tight finishes: before trading, read the source written in the rules for your market.
Our engine watches the BTC market in every window and publishes its signal — direction, probability and confidence level — when it detects the conditions it looks for, before the close. Every signal is recorded and settled with the official result: the track record by asset, including BTC's misses, is in the public statistics. And if you want to practice without money, the DEMO on the home page includes this market.
No one knows, and be wary of anyone who assures you they do. The best public estimate at any moment is the market price itself for BTC in 15 minutes: if the UP side is quoted at 70¢, participants as a whole estimate ≈70% probability of a rise. Your edge only exists if your reading is better than that collective estimate on a sustained basis — and after paying the fees. In public data from ultra-short markets, only about a third of accounts end up in profit: the rest fund that third and the platform.
With the official result from the source designated in each platform's rules, not with your exchange's price. On Kalshi, the crypto series settle with CF Benchmarks' real-time reference index for the asset: the target level is the 60-second average before the open and the close is compared with the 60-second average before the close; if the close is at least the target, UP wins (a tie pays UP). On Polymarket's global platform, the source for these Up/Down markets is the Chainlink price feed. Two markets with the same name can settle with different sources: always read the rules for yours.
The fee per executed contract follows the same formula on both platforms: ≈0.07 × price × (1 − price) on Kalshi (0.0695 on Polymarket US). Maximum ≈1.75¢ per contract at 50¢ and ≈0.63¢ at 90¢, plus the spread between buy and sell. Entering and exiting doubles the cost. The full breakdown is in the fees guide.
